Tina Frey Designs Urban Garden Collection + giveaway!

Tina Frey Designs Urban Garden Collection

Tina Frey Designs just launched a new collection called the Urban Garden Collection. Known for her smooth homeware designs in resin, this new collection is all about the outdoors and includes different plant pots, bowls, champagne buckets and even swings!

Tina Frey Designs Urban Garden CollectionEach item is designed and hand sculpted by Tina Frey in San Francisco. Sculpting starts with an idea that is cohesive with the rest of the collection. When the clay design is completed, hand-made molds are created for each object. The molds are used to cast each item individually by hand in small batches by color. Slight color variations between batches contribute to the beauty and uniqueness of each piece. After the pieces are cast and removed from the mold, they are hand sanded. They are truly made with care. The shapes are inspired by organic forms in nature and objects found in travels around the world. The colors are inspired by delicious translucent popsicles, candies, and jelly beans.

Tina Frey Designs Urban Garden Collection

The items from Tina Frey’s Urban Garden collection fit in all kinds of urban jungles: whether you prefer a black & white Scandi style, or pops of bright colors, these planters and bowls will bring a nice and chic handmade touch to your home. Of course we had a go and styled a hanging planter and a large bowl ourselves. These super smooth resin beauties became a swinging planter for Igor’s Munich abode and a mini succulent garden in Judith’s French home:

Tina Frey Designs Urban Garden Collection by Urban Jungle BloggersThe Hanging Square Vessel 15 is perfect for any kind of small or medium plant, like the Pothos plant Igor used here, or some Ivy vines or Senecio rowleyanus. The Large Square Bowl can be used for small plants that don’t need a lot of depth like succulents and small cacti. Or you can use it as a fruit or salad bowl!

Shed-Decor-01

As Urban Jungle Bloggers few of us will have a proper garden shed. But we can dream of one, right? Many of us have creative corners at home, workplaces where we get new ideas, where we style and decorate. The new book ‘Shed Decor’ by Sally Coulthard is another title you should add to your interior loving (and plant loving) library – no matter whether you have a garden shed or not.

Shed-Decor-02

The book’s subtitle reads: How to decorate and furnish your favorite garden room. Some of you might be lucky enough to have a garden room, others will dream of a garden room when reading this book (if you don’t dream of one already). The book gives inspiration and ideas how to decorate and furnish outdoor rooms and garden sheds to create beautiful and useable living or work spaces.

The book is structured in two parts – the first showcases various shed decor styles while the second deals with shed decor basics. Each style section is accompanied by an ‘Essentials’ section with shopping tips to easily recreate the style in your own shed and case studies to give you a real-life idea. The shed decor basics part features all elements of interior styling spanning from fabrics, flooring, walls, furniture and more.

Shed-Decor-03

If you like to get more inspiration and extend your interior design library, you can simply win a copy of ‘Shed Decor’ here on Urban Jungle Bloggers. All you have to do is leave a comment under this blog post until April 16, 2015. The giveaway is open worldwide. This giveaway has closed now and the winner has been contacted by email. Thank you everybody for joining in!

Easter stylings with plants by Urban Jungle Bloggers

Urban Jungle Bloggers Easter with Plants

Daffodil bulbs, hyacinths, snowdrops, catkin twigs and Lilies of the Valley – yes spring is here and in only two weeks it’s Easter! Last year’s Hello Spring, Hello Easter topic was so inspiring that we wanted to highlight them today. We hope that the ideas from our Blogger’s community will give you some extra inspiration to join us next Thursday for the 17th Edition of Urban Jungle Bloggers… or to dress your Easter table with plants and decorate your Easter home with greens (and eggs!).

The two images above are by Nic and Barbara, they both added funky hairdos to their Meyer-Lavigne vases and egg cups.

Jillian folded dozens of Easter origami bunnies to spice up her greens and Lauren decided to give her home office a Citrus Spring Cleaning with fresh grapefruit and plants.

Ilaria’s table top styling had a very feminine palette with pastel shades and her Story Hotel mug from Stockholm and Igor set up his brunch table with yellow, blue, grey and green accents for a more masculine look.

Urban Jungle Bloggers Easter with Plants

Judith used egg shells as temporary planters for her succulents and cacti while Ana turned a bowl by Crate & Barrel into an Easter bowl with succulents and pebbles.

Elena went back to her childhood and styled a green vignette with strawberry plants and wooden eggs and Christina dressed her table in Scandi style to have cake with her daughter.

Or what about pink? Giova styled a corner of her home with pink accessories, plants, succulents and delicious Cadbury eggs and Julia used neon strings for a happy hanging planter with a String of Pearls plant.

Urban Jungle Bloggers Easter with Plants

Louise created egg-shaped terrariums with tiny little plants as giveaway for her Easter brunch guests and Lou made colorful mini egg planters with cress to hang in her Magnolia branches.

Urban Jungle Bloggers Easter with PlantsAnuschka chose a beautiful Tillandsia for her Spring styling and added some vintage flower postcards for an eclectic mix. And what’s Easter without a bunny? We loved Valérie‘s cute rabbit Juju that hopped around her green table styling (and nibbled on the Ivy!).

We hope you feel inspired by these blogger stylings and wish you some sunny days ahead to get creative and style up the Easter season with your favorite plants. See you back here on Thursday for more green Easter styling ideas! If you want to join us, you can find all the information right here.
